MPB TECHNOLOGIES EBS-7210 Dual-Band Broadband Source,

The MPB Communications EBS-7210 is a high-power, spectrally-flattened and remarkably stable broadband source spanning both the erbium C and L bands. Developed to be an affordable, yet powerful, laboratory test source for DWDM component manufacturers. With its broad, flattened emission spectrum and eye-safe wavelength, the EBS-7210 Dual-Band Broadband Source is well suited for a wide range of applications, such as wavelength-dependent loss and PMD measurements of DWDM-system components, gain and gain-flatness measurements of EDFAs, local networking by spectral slicing, fiber-optic sensors and white-light interferometry. Multimode Fiber
Multimode Fiber has a large core (almost always 62.5 microns - a micron is one one millionth of a meter - but sometimes 50 microns) and is used with LED sources at wavelengths of 850 and 1300 nm for short distance, lower speed networks like LANs.
